This vacancy arises following the resignation of Kevin Spiteri, who served in the role with dedication and professionalism. We extend our sincere thanks to Kevin for his valuable contributions to the Association and to the local esports community during his tenure.
As a key elected officer within the Executive Committee, the Secretary plays a vital role in the administration and operation of MESA. This is an opportunity to directly contribute to the advancement of esports in Malta through an active leadership role in the national association.
Role Description
The Secretary shall:
- Record minutes of all Executive Committee and General Meetings.
- Handle all preparatory work related to meetings (including booking venues and notifying members).
- Ensure proper communication and coordination among Executive Committee members.
- Be responsible for issuing formal notifications of Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings.
- Assist in organizing internal reports and maintaining association records.
Pre-Requisites
Applicants must:
- Be a Member of the Malta Esports Association.
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Submit their nomination as prescribed by the Executive Committee.
- Provide:
- Two character references from existing MESA members.
- One character reference from a professional third party (non-relative).
Please ensure that none of the referees are related to the nominee.
In the case of multiple eligible applicants, an election will be held during the next Annual General Meeting, where members will vote on the candidates.
