The Malta National Team attempted to qualify for the European Esports Championship for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, held in Oradea, Romania, between the 6th and 10th of July 2022.

National Selection

The National Selection was made via an online qualifier organised by Project Eversio Esports Club. The winner of the qualifier would get to represent the Maltese National Team in the European Esports Championship and the World Championships for the same year.

The event was held on 3rd June 2022 and was free to play. Six teams participated in the event.

The Nationals were supported by Gann Media and the GamingMalta Foundation.

The winner of the event was Project Eversio, which consisted of the following players:

  • Kevin “Kevv” Sandin Felldin

Qualification

The Malta National Team for CS:GO participated in the Qualifiers for the European Championship 2022 in Oradea, Romania. Only 16 countries from around Europe qualify for the Finals in Romania.

An online qualifier was held between the 4th and the 12th of June 2022. Unfortunately, Malta lost all of its group stage matches, and was unable to qualify for the Finals in Romania.
