Social Media Manager
The Malta Esports Association is seeking an informed and creative Social Media Manager to join our team as a volunteer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy, ensuring our online presence effectively engages with the esports community in Malta and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content (text, images, videos) for our social media platforms, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Social Media Management: Regularly update and maintain all social media accounts, ensuring they reflect the latest news, events, and developments in the esports sector in Malta.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on our social media pages to foster a positive community atmosphere.
- Campaign Development: Collaborate with the team to create and execute social media campaigns that promote events, initiatives, and the esports industry in Malta.
- Graphic Design: Utilize basic graphic design skills to create visually appealing posts and promotional materials that align with our brand identity.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing social media accounts is preferable
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Basic graphic design skills
- Excellent written skills in English.
- Passion for esports and a good understanding of the local scene in Malta.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Website Content Manager
The Malta Esports Association is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Website Content Manager to oversee the content and functionality of our website. This role is vital for ensuring that our online presence remains current, engaging, and informative for our members and the broader esports community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Management: Regularly update the website with the latest news, events, and information related to the esports sector in Malta.
- Member Engagement: Collaborate with our members to gather insights and information, ensuring the website reflects the latest developments and resources available.
- Communication with Social Media Team: Work closely with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging across platforms and to promote website content through social media channels.
- News Writing and Press Releases: Write and publish news articles, blog posts, and press releases as necessary, highlighting important events, achievements, and announcements.
- Content Strategy: Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with the goals of the Malta Esports Association and meets the needs of our audience.
- Website Maintenance: Monitor website performance and functionality, ensuring a user-friendly experience and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- SEO Optimization: Implement best practices for search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance the visibility of the website and its content.
Qualifications:
- Experience in website content management and/or news writing is preferable
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging and informative content.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or similar platforms.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent written skills in English.
- Passion for esports and knowledge of the local scene in Malta is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Events Manager
The Malta Esports Association is seeking a passionate and organized Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of community events. This role is pivotal in fostering community engagement and promoting the local esports scene through both online and offline events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Execution: Organize and manage a variety of community events for the local esports and gaming community, including tournaments, workshops, community gatherings etc.
- Community Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with the local esports community, including players, teams, members and organisers to gather input and feedback for events.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that all activities are cost-effective and aligned with the association’s financial goals.
- Promotion and Marketing: Collaborate with the social media teams to promote events effectively, using various channels to maximize reach and attendance.
- Logistics Coordination: Handle all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, equipment procurement, scheduling, and on-site management, with the help of the Executive Committee.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback and analyze the success of events to improve future planning and execution, preparing reports on attendance, engagement, and overall impact.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with sponsors, partners, and vendors to ensure successful event partnerships and sponsorship fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in event planning and management, preferably within the esports, gaming
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging with the community.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed.

Discord Community Manager
The Malta Esports Association is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Discord Community Manager to lead our online community efforts. This role will focus on fostering a positive and engaging environment within our Discord server, keeping members informed, and ensuring the community thrives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with association members and the local gaming and esports community to build relationships and encourage participation in discussions and activities on Discord.
- Server Management: Maintain and update the Discord server, ensuring it remains organized, welcoming, and informative for all members.
- Moderation: Monitor conversations and interactions within the server to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere, enforcing community guidelines and addressing any issues that arise.
- Content Creation: Develop and curate content for the Discord server, including announcements, events, polls, and discussion topics to keep the community engaged and informed.
- Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze feedback from community members to improve the Discord experience and implement new ideas that align with the interests of the community.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the events, social media, and content teams to ensure that Discord initiatives are aligned with broader association goals and activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing Discord servers or online communities
- Strong understanding of Discord features, tools, and moderation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for community building.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and creativity.
- Knowledge of the esports landscape, particularly within the Maltese community, is a plus.
