The Malta Esports Association is issuing a new Tournament Sanctioning Policy to increase the standard of esports tournaments in Malta. As esports becomes a more acknowledged and respected activity in Malta, the Malta Esports Association is publishing a Tournament Sanctioning Policy which will provide recognition to local esports tournaments which meet the highest standards to be recognised as such.

Select competitions approved by the Malta Esports Association will be able to display the Malta Esports Association logo on their events, together with the other benefits offered by the Association.
The regulations imposed include:
- Transparency obligations
- Age restrictions
- Availability of information
- Availability of Independent and Impartial Referees
- Applicability of the WADA Code
- Data Reporting
