Team Malta attempted to qualify for the 16th Esports World Championship, due to be held in Riyadh in November 2024.

The National Selection for eFootball was organised through a one-day National Qualifier held at Esports Plaza in Sliema on the 5th May 2024.
Malcolm “FantiFlames” Said won the national qualifier.
Counter-Strike 2
The National Selection for CS2 was organised through a one-day National Qualifier held online on the 4th May 2024 in cooperation with the Malta Counter-Strike League (MCL).
The team known as Global5 won the qualifier. Global5 is composed of the following players:

- Volodymyr “zrz” Zrazhevskyi
- Gabriel “left0ver” Mizzi
European Qualifiers
Team Malta competed in the West European Qualifiers which were held online. Malta was placed in Group C.

Unfortuntely Team Malta did not get through the groupstage.
Finals
The organiser cancelled the eFootball competition taking place at the World Esports Championship 2024.
Therefore, Malta had no representation at this year’s World Esports Championship.
